**edited** I just found this article over on the CBC site - apparently there will be no browser availability for the Canadian Kindle either:
The e-reader's web browser and blog subscription service will not work in Canada, according to the description on Amazon.com, but customers will have free access to Wikipedia.
For those who already have Kindles - do you need the browser to find the books on the Amazon site?
For my own part, I'll stick to my Sony Reader, but now at least there's more of a choice.
Don't forget, you can WIN a Kindle and save yourself nearly $300 by entering the contest over at Tera Kleinfelter's blog. The contest is on every Monday through Friday until December 14th.
